Something a lot of young women seem to struggle with is their value as a person. I don't mean monetary value - I mean their worth. I can't even begin to tell you how many girls I know who have very little self-worth. It's becoming a trend among young girls and women.
We live in a world that glorifies outward appearance. It's hard to completely be unaffected by society's image of the "ideal woman" when it absolutely bombards you from all sides.
You can so easily fall into a vicious cycle.
People will like me if....fill in the blank. I'll be happy when....this happens.
That is not what God's heart is for you!
Please take me seriously when I tell you - your value is based on only one thing: the love God has for you. Sweet sister, Jesus died for you! You are so very precious in His sight. You don't need a guy to make you feel beautiful - God already thinks that!
Let's look at a couple verses.
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth." (Psalm 119:13-15)
Listen up - God made you to be exactly the way you are. When you talk badly about yourself, it's basically like telling an artist you don't like his painting. You are a masterpiece - don't you ever let anyone tell you differently.
There are enough unkind people in the world who will try to bring you down. This is why it is so important for us to understand the concept of our worth. If you are a firm believer in the fact that God made you by design and on purpose, nobody can ever make you feel inferior!
"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

God loves you! Nothing you could ever do can remove you from that unconditional love. He desires the very best for you - in everything. Don't you dare think that you aren't important. You have a purpose.
God loves everything about you. That voice that whispers to you that you aren't worthy, or not good enough? Kick it to the curb. Those are lies - you are worthy and you are good enough. Why? Because when God looks at you, He doesn't see your sins, He sees the blood of Jesus that washed you pure.
No more regrets, friend. Don't let your past determine who you are.
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
When we were sinning and living in the darkness, Jesus made that sacrifice for us. How amazing is that love?
You don't have to be a sinner anymore. If you have accepted Jesus into your life, you are righteous. You are washed spotlessly pure. Nothing, I mean nothing, can ever separate you from God's love. (Romans 8:38)
